Full details for our 29th Annual Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice in 2025 will be announced at our CommUNITY Kick-Off Press Conference on Wednesday, February 26th at 10AM at Our Lady of the Lake University on the steps of the Chapel.
Join us for the 29th annual Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
9:00 AM (Morning Stage) Morning Program and Speakers at the Intersection of Guadalupe and Brazos next to Guadalupe Theater (1301 Guadalupe St)
10:00 AM: March steps off for Hemisfair
11:00 AM: Song & Celebration at Hemisfair
Don’t worry about parking! VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide Fare FREE service for Cear Chavez March Participants. Parking and schedule details are below:
- Where: OLLU (Our Lady of the Lake University), 411 S.W. 24th Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207
- Time: Buses begin services at 8AM
- Participants will be transported to the Cesar Chavez March for Justice formation area in time for the morning program.
- Return bus service will run from Hemisfair back to OLLU (Our Lady of the Lake University) until 2pm. Bus area will be located along Market Street.
MORE DETAILS:
- The march is 2 miles long. Water Stations will be available at the 1/2 way point at Flores and Cesar Chavez Blvd. (in front of the HEB). Water provided by VIA Cares Volunteer Team. Portable restrooms and hand washing stations will be available at the start and end of the route. Wear comfortable tennis shoes and prepare for hot weather.
- Our event is a pet friendly event.
- We encourage you to car pool and utilize the free VIA transportation, as street closures by SAPD begin at 8am for Guadalupe St. If you do arrive after 8am you many only enter the Lanier HS perimeter from the north.
